Original 09x14 on plastic
This is one of my very first pieces rendered on the reverse side of Plexiglas. I felt as though I was seeing what John Glenn might have seen outside of his little Mercury capsule window. And then the next painting became another view of another galaxy, out there, or within and the scale ceased to matter, all that mattered was that for me, the finished visualized dreamscape was in focus and pleasant to look at.
They say that ART is here to either provoke by exposing the Truth to power, or that ART is here to console and be a sanctuary from day to day to day to day life. I offer the sanctuary! Enjoy…
The original paintings presented on this site are 11x14 unless otherwise noted. Also this work is painted on the reverse side of plastic, rendering each piece irreproducible.
This process is called verre églomisé, which is a French term referring to the process of applying a design onto the rear face of glass, or in my case acrylic plastic. The moving pics are being worked up for NFTs at a later date, but here they help to show the depth of the original work. Many pieces have been sold over the years that I have no record of. This is an attempt to inventory what I still have, and am adding to.
Drop me note if you like this work and especially if you would like to collect a piece. Also follow me on Facebook and Instagram. I don’t do Twitter…you’re welcome!
